Wine Critic Review: "This light-bodied wine boasts aromas of flowers and pistachio. Ripe and fruity flavors echo the nose and carry the soft, soothing texture." References: There is not notes for Rosé listed specifically in Wine Folly. Looked at 2 of the grapes included in the wine. From page 150, Pinot Noir has notes of cherry, raspberry, clove, mushroom and vanilla. From page 131, Merlot has notes of cherry, plum, chocolate, dried herbs, and vanilla. When smelling the wine I could definitely smell the raspberry. When tasting the wine I got the notes of vanilla, cherry and chocolate.
My review: This wine was more acidic than I expected. I generally associate rosé with being sweeter than this. It was also richer than I expected, with the note of chocolate I could taste. The wine describes itself as having notes of raspberry and watermelon. I could smell the raspberry and slightly taste it, the watermelon I did not taste. I also found citrus notes in the wine.
No notes of cupcake? A shame!
